Driver allegedly hit 3 children at Atlanta car wash

A man has been charged with reckless driving after hitting three children at a car wash in Atlanta

on Sunday.

Police said Jose Mena, 34, drove his 1995 Green Ford Taurus onto the property at 1932 Metropolitan Parkway to wash his car. He was not paying attention to where he was going and struck the three children in the parking lot, Atlanta police told Channel 2 Action News.

Grady EMS took the children, who authorities did not identify, to Egleston Hospital with minor injuries, according to Channel 2.

The driver, who police did not identify, was charged with reckless driving and driving while unlicensed. He was transported to City Of Atlanta Jail.
