A Douglasville man is in jail on charges of child pornography after authorities found images of child sexual abuse on his cell phone.
Casey Grogan, 32, is being held at the Paulding County Jail without bond after the U.S. Marshal’s southeast regional fugitive task force arrested him March 23.
Grogan was arrested after a crimes against children task force with the Paulding County Sheriff’s office seized his cell phone. They found more than 40 images and videos of alleged child sexual abuse that had been saved on his phone.
Grogan also was arrested on 15 counts of theft by deception after authorities discovered he was performing fraudulent transactions at several Home Depot stores in the southeast. Police did not go into details of what those fraudulent transactions were.
Grogan also may be connected to a sexual abuse case in North Carolina. Paulding County Sheriff’s detectives are working with investigators in North Carolina on this case.
It is not clear where in North Carolina this incident may have happened.
Paulding County authorities are asking anyone with knowledge of this incident to call the Crimes against Children unit at 770-445-6105.
