A family in Idaho is thinking about renaming their dog to lucky after he survived being struck by multiple trains.

Loki, who is only 14-months-old, has started to get used to walking around on three legs.

His family says Loki wandered off a week ago and was hit by not just one train -- but 13.

The conductor of the last train saw Loki and called for help.

Through a microchip implant, a local vet was able to track down the dog's family.

Loki's owner, Ryan Rossi, thought they were going to have to put the dog down, but it turns out he was able to pull through his injuries.

“Words can't even describe it. Words can't describe it whatsoever. Like I said, he's not just a dog, he's family,” Rossi said.

Loki lost a leg, an eye and his tail in the incident

The family now faces a $7,000 vet bill.

A GoFundMe account has been set up if you would like to help.
