Want to have a casual day at work and help others?

Metro Atlanta companies can chip in on the United Way of Metropolitan Atlanta's "Denim Makes a Difference Day" on Wednesday.

Participating companies let employees wear jeans to work for a $5 donation each to United Way. Proceeds will go toward United Way's Community Impact Fund, which awards grants to community agencies that work in the areas of education, health, homelessness and income.

Employees can make their $5 donation by cash or  check payable to “United Way of Metropolitan Atlanta” or text “DENIM” to 80088*.
