Atlanta’s hospitality community inducted its latest hall of fame members earlier this month and gave posthumous honors to one of its top leaders.
Leona Barr-Davenport, Ed Bastian, Renee Perdue Rucker and Gary Stokan were the 2019 inductees of the Atlanta Hospitality Hall of Fame.
Barr is president and CEO of the Atlanta Business League; Bastian is CEO of Delta Air Lines; Rucker is security director of SecurAmerica; and Stokan is CEO and president and Peach Bowl, Inc.
Brenda Archie of the Residence Inn by Marriott Atlanta Downtown was named the hall's 2019 volunteer of the year and former Atlanta Convention and Visitors Bureau president Spurgeon Richardson was named the 2019 member of the year.
Richardson died in late October at the age of 78. In addition to spending 17 years at the ACVB, Richardson also was a former president and CEO of Six Flags Over Georgia.
