As part of an overhaul to its permitting process, DeKalb County is set to launch an expedited process for commercial applicants.
The county is seeking certified architects and engineers who will serve as “peer reviewers” to help it meet its goal of issuing commercial permits in 10 days.
The county has struggling to turn around applications as quickly as surrounding counties, prompting complaints about loss of business.
