DeKalb sets fees for election

DeKalb County has set the slate of qualifying fees for candidates running for countywide office this year.

State law requires the fees be set at 3 percent of the base salary of the position. For the chief executive job, the fee will be $3,502.49. For county commissioner, the fee will be $1,151.24. For the board of education, the fee will be $540.
