DeKalb promoting senior "village" idea
DeKalb County is promoting the concept of a senior "village," which will allow senior citizens to remain independent while continuing to live in the community.
The county has received state grants to help study the concept of a village program in DeKalb.
A meeting to introduce the idea and explain how services can be delivered will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Maloof Auditorium, 1300 Commerce Dr., Decatur.
