In honor of America Recycles Day on Saturday, DeKalb County will host document shredding and shoe recycling for all residents.

Sensitive documents will be shredded on-site free, though there is a five-box limit per person. In addition, county residents can drop off old sneakers that can be recycled.

The event runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the county’s Central Transfer Station, 3720 Leroy Scott Drive, just off Kensington Road near Decatur.
