DeKalb Workforce Development is partnering with Wipro Business Process Services for a hiring event on Tuesday from 9 a.m. to noon, to fill 30 positions.
The event will take place at the DWD office, located at 774 Jordan Lane, Building 4, Decatur. During previous Wipro hiring events, about 240 jobseekers were interviewed and more than 150 got offers on the spot, according to a news release.
The jobs being filled at the Tuesday event are customer service and technical support positions, which are said to pay $12 per hour, according to the release.
Wipro is a leading global information technology, consulting and business process services company.

According to the release, both positions require call center experience and that candidates pass an assessment test.
For the customer service position, candidates should have six months call center experience, preferably in the health care industry, and a high school diploma/GED equivalent. The tech support job requires one year of experience in diagnosing and repairing PCs or consumer electronics; skills in Microsoft and Mac; and interpersonal, written and oral communications skills.
