DeKalb County allows garbage cart additions, re-sizing

DeKalb County residents can now switch and add garbage roll carts.

On Wednesday, DeKalb County’s Sanitation Division announced Phase II of the Rolling Forward to One sanitation service change. Residents can now switch to any county approved 35-, 45-, 65- or 95-gallon green garbage roll cart, and also obtain additional green garbage roll carts beyond the one provided by the county during Phase I. A one-time, non-recurring $15 prepaid charge will apply for all 95-gallon carts and each additional green garbage roll cart. Residents can also request a 65-gallon blue recycling roll cart, for which a one-time, non-recurring $15 prepaid fee and mandatory recycling subscription will apply as well.
