DeKalb County’s Watershed Management Department will begin its federally mandated cleanups of the South River, South Fork Peachtree Creek and Snapfinger Creek sometime in April.
A federal consent order requires the county to remove trash and debris from the banks and stream beds as part of a $1.35 billion overhaul to the county’s water and sewer system.
The county expects to complete its work by late fall.
