A 70-year-old Decatur man was shot to death Wednesday while visiting family in Alabama, according to AL.com.

Lynnwood J. Henry traveled to Birmingham often, the Jefferson County Coroner's Office told the newspaper.

Police said Henry was traveling westbound on Avenue W when another vehicle pulled up next to him and began shooting at Henry's car. Henry then drove into a utility pole; he was pronounced dead at the scene.
