Dalton police have arrested a teenager and charged him with making false statements about a fatal shooting at a bar.

Police said Ulises Corona, 17, lied to them during their initial investigation of the March 23 shooting at Las Delicias on Morris Street that left one man dead and another man wounded.

Investigators said they believe Corona was with Orlando Ramirez, Fernando Resendiz and Juvencio Vega-Garcia in a car as they rode to the Las Delicias bar where Orlando Ramirez shot two security guards after being denied entry into the bar, killing Bruno Rodriguez, 28.

Corona was still with the group as they picked up Orlando Ramirez on Morris Street after the shooting and left the scene, police said. Detectives said Corona lied to them during the initial investigation of the incident during the search for Orlando Ramirez.

Resendiz and Vega-Garcia were arrested and charged as accessories to the crime on March 23. Orlando Ramirez was arrested two days later. Ramirez, Resendiz, and Vega-Garcia also have been charged with homicide and aggravated assault. Alexa Jiminez, Orlando Ramirez's girlfriend, was charged with hindering the apprehension of a criminal and making false statements to police. The investigation into the shooting incident continues and more charges are possible, police said.
