Dacula sets qualifying fees for November election

The Dacula municipal election will be held Nov. 7 at the Dacula City Hall, 442 Harbins Road, to elect the mayor and two councilmembers.

Dacula government is made up of a mayor and four councilmembers. The qualifying fee for the office currently held by Mayor Jimmy Wilbanks is $189. The qualifying fee for councilmember seats currently held by Wendell Holcombe and Donna Pearis is $153. The dates for the qualifying period will be announced later.

Under the city’s charter, all corporate powers are vested in the mayor and council. The mayor and members of the council serve four-year terms of office. The mayor’s seat and all council seats are at-large seats.
