While people across the state will be casting their votes in a presidential preference primary March 24, Dacula voters will also make a choice that’s much closer to home.

The city will hold a special election to choose a new council member after Hubert Wells, who was reelected in November, moved in December before taking the oath of office.

Four candidates qualified for the race, but one has since dropped out. The remaining candidates are Adrienne Johnson, an actress; Dave Slotter, an owner of a technology consulting firm; and Sean Williams, an information security officer.

If no candidate gets more than 50% of the vote, a runoff election will be held April 21.
