Stopping at a Dawonsville gas station may have been the best decision Marc Shirley ever made.

The 30-year-old Cumming man won second prize in the Georgia Lottery's $3 million Taxes Paid game -- good for $300,000 (after taxes). He claimed the prize Monday at Georgia Lottery headquarters, officials said.

Shirley purchased the ticket at the Silver City CITGO at 6623 Highway 9.
