The Georgia Supreme Court has thrown out a $1.8 million judgment against the city of Suwanee involving a zoning dispute with the developer Settles Bridge Farm.

The court ruled Settles Bridge’s lawsuit should have been dismissed because it had not exhausted all administrative remedies before going to court. Settles Bridge sued after the city amended its zoning code upon learning of the developer’s plans to sell 36 acres to Notre Dame Academy, which planned to build a school in the residential area.
