A couple is desperate to find their stolen truck and rare motorcycles.
They said thieves pulled off the crime in minutes at a local motel.
"We were absolutely stranded," Jim Stone said.
Stone found an empty spot right where he parked his Ford F-250 the night before.
He not only lost his ride at the Comfort Suites in Clayton County, thieves also nabbed the trailer that was attached.
It contained two rare motorcycles, including a 1985 Yamaha R-Z 500s.
In a video call from Missouri, Stone told Channel 2’s Carl Willis that video shows he may have been targeted.
"It showed somebody coming in the parking lot a few moments after we pulled into the hotel so, they must have followed us in off the highway," Jim Stone said.
Stone, his wife and their five year old grandson were delivering the bikes from Kansas City to Florida when they stopped for the night.
It happened just two miles and 5 miles away from the scene of a high profile crime where thieves stole a trailer containing a stock car used in NASCAR races.
Police have not connected the two crimes.
"Whoever took the truck had to have special tools and a computer to bypass security," Janet Stone said.
Only one clue has surfaced so far: a text from his iPad that led to an auto repair shop in Conyers.
"It was like a ray of hope when the iPad pinged and we thought we had a location on the vehicle one day later," Jim Stone said.
It was a dead end and the Stones are looking for leads. They said they are offering a reward.
"Somebody knows how to take them and it doesn't take them but about 25 minutes even with the alarms turned on,” Jim Stone said.
Anyone with information is asked to call Clayton County police.
