Court upholds DeKalb murder conviction

The Georgia Supreme Court recently upheld the DeKalb County murder conviction against Dukes, now serving a life sentence for stabbing 33-year-old Demetric Johnson after an argument at an apartment on Evans Mill Road. The court noted a jail cellmate testified that Dukes told him he showed up at his mother’s house in his underwear because he had discarded his bloody clothing after the killing. Bill Rankin
