Sewer line work this month in McDonough
Work begins this month in McDonough on a $3 million project to improve the city’s 100-year-old sewer collection system. Mayor Billy Copeland announced on his Facebook page Friday morning that the work will include replacing 1,825 feet of existing sewer lines, lining 6,800 feet of lines with concrete, and pipe-bursting 18,670 feet of lines.
As some are under city streets, some disruption to traffic flow is expected over the course of the project, which should take the remainder of 2013 to complete.
