The Peachtree Corners City Council voted 4-2 last week in favor of a rezoning request that makes way for a new subdivision on 5.13 acres at 3506 and 3496 Spalding Terrace and 5297 Spalding Drive known as Spalding Terrace.

Peachtree Residential, the developer for the property across from Norcross High School, had originally hoped to build 28 to 32 townhomes. The city council approved rezoning from R-100 to R-60 allowing for 19 detached homes to be greater than 3,000-square feet with a list price of $500,000 and up. The new community will be gated with a private drive off Spalding Terrace.
