An 87-year-old woman who lost control of her van, crashed into a building in Griffin and injured a nail salon worker Wednesday afternoon was not charged in the incident.
However, police recommended she lose her license.
The recommendation that her license be revoked is being made to the state’s Department of Driver Services based on the incident, Griffin police Lt. Michael Natale said Thursday.
Investigators believe the driver was backing into a handicap parking space at the salon in the Roses Shopping Center on South Hill Street when she crashed.
The salon worker who was hit was in stable condition after being flown to Atlanta Medical Center for treatment, Natale said. She had been partially pinned and dragged in the crash.
