The woman accused of setting fire to her daughter's boyfriend's closet has been arrested and turned over to Gwinnett County authorities.

Mia Laane Marie Hamer, 46, faces a first-degree arson charge in the Aug. 5 blaze at a Snellville apartment, Gwinnett fire Capt. Tommy Rutledge said Monday.

Hamer is accused of setting fire to clothes due to a domestic dispute involving her daughter's boyfriend, Rutledge said. The boyfriend, whose name was not released, was in the shower when the fire was set.

Three adults and four children were in the apartment at the time of the fire, but none were injured.

Correcting an earlier report that Hamer, of Stone Mountain, had turned herself in Friday, Rutledge said she was arrested by DeKalb County authorities.

Hamer was transported without incident by Gwinnett sheriff's deputies to the Gwinnett County jail, where she was being held Monday night without bond.
