Cobb police have charged a man who allegedly threatened to unleash gunfire during his attempt to rob a store last week in Austell.

Arthur Jene Young is charged with one count each of robbery and terroristic threats in connection with the March 19 incident at the East West Commons shopping center.

According to an arrest warrant, Young went inside the store around 8:41 p.m., told a person that he had “five bullets inside a gun,” asked for a clothing outfit and a way to escape using the back entrance.

Young’s alleged actions forced the assistant manager to direct other employees to hide and call 911, the warrant adds.

Young, 28, of Bremen, was arrested and booked into the Cobb County Adult Detention Center on March 19. He remains held at the facility without bond.
