A Decatur man who came to pay his respects to a man shot to death at a funeral was arrested for bringing a stolen gun to the wake, DeKalb County police said Wednesday. And the gun had been stolen from police evidence in another case, according to the District Attorney's office.

Camenthia Antwan Dixon, 21, was arrested Tuesday evening and booked into the DeKalb County jail, according to booking records.

Dixon faces a felony charge of theft by receiving stolen property, in addition to misdemeanor charges of reckless conduct, carrying a concealed weapon and obstruction, jail records show.

Dixon was arrested as he attended a wake for 19-year-old Carlos Henderson Jr., one of two victims from a shooting that followed a funeral last week at Victory of the World Church, near Stone Mountain.

DeKalb police have said Henderson and 28-year-old Delmetrius Heard died after shooting each other in the church's parking lot after both attended a funeral for 19-year-old homicide victim Ryan Devon Guider.

Officers attending the wake for Henderson spotted Dixon with a gun, which was later discovered to have been stolen, police told Channel 2 Action News.

Weapons and drugs were stolen in June 2011 from an off-site storage facility for the DeKalb County District Attorney's office, D.A. Robert James told Channel 2. James noted that the practice of storing evidence off-site began before he took office.

"Obviously I was concerned, even bothered, and I immediately stopped that process and we brought all the property back to where it should be, which is in a secure location in the courthouse," James said.

It was not immediately known how Dixon allegedly ended up with the gun. He remained in jail Wednesday night.
