It was 'shake and bake' meth, and three men helped, according to the Paulding County Sheriff's Office.
A traffic stop in Dallas led to three arrests for criminal attempt to manufacture methamphetamine, Cpl. Brandon Gurley told the AJC.
Deputies stopped a Ford Explorer shortly before 1 p.m. because of an "equipment violation," Gurley said. Inside, three men had a 2-liter bottle and a 20-ounce bottle, along with other items used to create the drug.
Those arrested include: the driver, Mathew Williamson, 34, of Acworth; Taylor Cory Cole, 32, of Temple; and Dallas Wayne Britton 34, of Powder Springs, Gurley said.
The three were apparently using the "shake and bake" method to make the drug, Gurley said.
"It's commonly used for self-use," Gurley said. "It's a one-pot method. All of the components are combined."
A container such as a plastic 2-liter bottle is often used, and is then shaken once the components are inside, Gurley said.
"The pressure then has to be released and it has to be done slowly or it can erupt," Gurley said. "Once the pressure is completely released, they have their finished product."
