The New York Butcher Shoppe will host a cook-out this Saturday at its Sandy Springs location, as a fund-raiser for the city police’s new benevolent fund.
Officers from the department’s traffic and community affairs units, as well as those from the South District, will handle the grilling of the burgers and hot dogs for the meals.
The event runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the store, 4969 Roswell Road. Ten percent of the $4.99 meals will go to the benevolent fund, which assists officers in times of need.
