Major construction/renovation projects are complete or nearly done at four Forsyth County high schools.

Construction director Tom Wening told the Board of Education recently that projects are finished at North and Central high schools and are in the “warranty” phase at South and Lambert high schools meaning that they are done pending final signoff.

The final-phase projects included upgrading of band, choral and classrooms at North, renovation to STEM labs at Central, classroom and culinary wing improvements at South and engineering and health lab renovations at Lambert.

Wening said that the Denmark High School and Alliance Academy for Innovation projects remain on schedule for a summer 2018 finish, with structural steel erection well along at Denmark and site work continuing for Alliance.
