Construction activity for the I-85 Widening project will result in lane closures through Sept. 7 along the corridor in Gwinnett, Barrow, and Jackson counties near Braselton.
Asphalt paving will require single lane closures along I-85 in both directions between Ga 211 in Barrow County and Ga 53 in Jackson County. Additional nightly lane closures will occur northbound from Hamilton Mill Road in Gwinnett to Ga 211. Work will occur nightly between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. through Thursday night, 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. Friday night, and 9 p.m. to 9 a.m. Saturday night.
Traffic pacing activity will also occur nightly. Pacing activities will take place southbound from Ga 60 in Jackson County to Ga 211 and northbound from Hamilton Mill Road to Ga 211. Pacing will begin at 9 p.m. nightly and continue until 5 a.m. each morning.
