Upcoming construction of a “green T” traffic lane is meant to ease at least some of the traffic congestion on Ga. Hwy. 54 West in Peachtree City, but will cause more headaches in the meantime. Crews are set to begin work at the Line Creek Drive intersection on Aug. 17 to build a continuous left-turn-only lane for westbound traffic. Work will be limited to 9 a.m.-4 p.m. weekdays, but traffic flow will still be affected. The project is due to be completed by February 2016, and will cost approximately $390,000.
