The Henry County Zoning Advisory Board voted at its March 28 meeting to approve a conditional use request for 86.5 acres on Crumbley Road, at the northeast corner of its intersection with Selfridge Road, for a conservation subdivision.

The site was recently rezoned to R-2 (Sewer) for 100 lots. The modification would allow smaller lots with a minimum of 40 percent permanent open space, but the applicants stated their intention to go beyond that threshold and only develop 33-34 acres of the total. The land includes a large pond and a dam.

Developers said they are targeting an older demographic with homes from 1,900 o 2,800 square feet and lower maintenance.
