Conservation leader to retire
Pam Young, who has served as the executive director of the Southern Conservation Trust for the past six years, will retire from her post in June.
The SCT’s land stewardship and protection programs in the Southern Crescent and the Upper and Middle Chattahoochee River Basins encompass 2,428 acres, including preserves open to the public.
Board Chair Tami Morris said that Young “is to be commended for increasing the visibility and reputation of SCT at the local, regional, state and national levels.” The organization has begun a search for a new executive director.
