Central Atlanta Progress and the Atlanta Downtown Improvement District will host their semi-annual Town Hall meeting at 8 a.m. Wednesday, July 24 at the Chick-fil-A College Football Hall of Fame, 250 Marietta St NW. Beginning at 7:30 a.m., attendees will have the opportunity to network over coffee with key Downtown stakeholders, residents and business owners, according to a press release.

CAP Town Hall meetings are free and open to the public and designed to enlighten the community on downtown’s progress. Since 1941, CAP has been behind the scenes integrating ideas, building partnerships, and coordinating efforts to improve the central city. Downtown is poised for substantial growth and development, and now—more than ever—is a great time to join the conversation and learn about the influencers and initiatives re-imagining our city.

The July 24 program will include project updates from CAP/ADID President A.J. Robinson, as well as a briefing by the Atlanta Police Department.

The panel is the first step in CAP’s new effort to spearhead a public awareness campaign intended to educate the Atlanta community about the current state of homelessness in the city, the work being done by service providers and stakeholders, and tactics the general public can employ to become part of the solution to making homelessness brief, rare, and nonrecurring.

An open forum question and answer session will conclude the program.
