As staff photographer for the University of North Georgia in Dahlonega, Peggy Cozart attends and photographs many interesting events. “During our recent Turkey Bowl, one of our staff made a tandem parachute jump onto the field,” she wrote. The Silver Wings parachute team, based at Fort Benning near Columbus, Ga., delivered the game ball in November to the Turkey Bowl at the University of North Georgia in Dahlonega. The Turkey Bowl is an annual flag football game between UNG’s Corps of Cadets and the Military Science faculty and staff. Joining the parachutists was Gary Biller, interim vice president of student affairs, who performed a tandem jump with Sgt. 1st Class Mike Eames. UNG president Dr. Bonita Jacobs was on hand to congratulate Biller on his successful landing.The University of North Georgia is a University System of Georgia leadership institution and is The Military College of Georgia.
