“Early October, while visiting the Rapid City area we encountered snow. Road crews spread rock salt on the roads to keep them clear,” wrote Harry E. Fitch of Peachtree City. “While at Custer State Park, we encountered this buffalo and another who were willing to clean (lick) the rock salt off our rental car.”
