Gwinnett commissioners have approved expansion plans for two county parks.

Last week commissioners approved a $5.9 million expansion of Harbins Park near Grayson. The project includes a multi-purpose field with bleachers, a concession/restroom building, a lighted walking track, a playground, a pavilion, a dog park and a 3-acre lake.

Commissioners also approved $9.6 million of work at Rabbit Hill Park near Dacula. Among other things, the park will get two soccer fields, a concession/restroom building, seven new baseball/softball fields, a multipurpose field, a lighted walking track, playgrounds and a 6-acre lake.
