Comcast customers in parts of Gwinnett County can now get faster internet.

In Auburn, Buford, Lawrenceville, Dacula and Sugar Hill, businesses and residents can get 1-gigabit internet speeds. The roll-out also includes parts of Barrow, Hall and Jackson counties.

The speed upgrade will let users download an HD movie in 40 seconds or a TV episode in four.

The company said to get the faster internet, users must install a DOCSIS 3.1 compatible cable modem capable of delivering gigabit speeds.
