College Park swears in new chief of police

Jan 13, 2019College Park has sworn in its new Chief of Police, Ferman Williford, on Monday, Jan. 7, according to a press release.
Chief Williford served as interim chief following Chief Keith Meadows’ departure last summer to become police chief for the new city of South Fulton. He was formally promoted to chief this month. He celebrates his 34th year in the College Park Police Department in April.
Among Williford’s most notable accomplishments already was appointing Sharis McCrary to Chief Deputy, the first female in her role for College Park.
