In an effort to streamline College Park’s storm sewer mapping and other related data, various staff members, including Information Technology, Engineering and Public Works are working to secure a new software package to enable the city of College Park to store all relevant information into a secure data-base. Access to mapping is important for future planning of roads, construction and additions to the infrastructure, as well as to instantly respond to emergencies with unforeseen emergencies. Meanwhile, direction is underway to secure related geographical and infrastructure information, including the locations of ground contours, streets and structural presence.

This information will be easily accessible, once the software has been vetted and installed, according to city officials.
