The city of College Park recently broke ground on a $2.1 million fire station, built with SPLOST funds.

Fire station 3, at the intersection of Southampton Drive and W. Fayetteville Road, will serve the College Park’s south corridor, city officials said. Construction will take up to 11 months to complete.

The new fire station’s location will reduce incident response times, often impacted by heavy traffic on Old National Highway, according to city officials.
