The city of College Park will expand the building used by the Federal Aviation Administration. The FAA’s southern regional center is located beside the College Park MARTA station. The city will host a formal reception for the expansion of the FAA Southern region center June 14 to acknowledge the relocation of 330 FAA employees to the location.
“Our partnership with the city of College Park has allowed us to provide our employees with a quality work environment where they can support the agency’s important safety mission,” said Dennis Roberts, Regional Administrator of the FAA southern region center.
Th FAA has leased the building located in downtown College Park since 1993. In 2014 the FAA extended its lease for another 10 years for use of the property which contains 217,313 square feet of office space and accommodates over 1,100 employees.
