Cobb school board to swear in new members

Cobb Board of Education newcomers Susan Thayer and David Chastain and incumbent Scott Sweeney will be sworn into office Tuesday. The meeting will start at 8:30 a.m. at Cobb County Schools headquarters, 514 Glover St., Marietta. Thayer defeated incumbent Tim Stultz for the Post 2 seat. Chastain won the Post 4 seat held by Kathy Angelucci, who did not run for a second term. Sweeney was reelected to the Post 6 position.
