Cobb school board to extend Walton's charter

Cobb County's school board is expected to renew the charter of George Walton Comprehensive High School at its next meeting.  Last week, the superintendent proposed to the board to extend the school's charter, in existence since 1998.  The school has won several academic accolades, which administrators attribute to its charter status.
