Cobb receives state grant for after-school programs

A state grant of $515,721 was received by the Cobb County Board of Education 7-0 Thursday to assist with after-school programs.

The Georgia Department of Education 21st Century Community Learning Center Grant Award will go to Campbell High School “STEM Diplomats” and “Reach for the Stars” after-school programs at Baker Elementary School, Acworth Intermediate and Barber Middle School.

The programs serve more than 200 K-12 students within the Cobb County School District.
