The Cobb County Board of Commissioners approved three contracts on Nov. 12 for the county’s new Public Safety Training Center, 2435 East-West Connector, Austell.

A contract was awarded to W. E. Contracting Company, Inc. for $751,030 for drywall work.

Both for construction-related activities, the other two contracts went to Unified Technology Systems for almost $597,658 and KM Davis Contracting Company for $74,734.

Unified Technology Systems will provide specialized expertise for the installation of audio visual equipment.

KM Davis Contracting Company will supply a larger water meter and supply line at the training center which is the former BJ’s Wholesale Club.

Funding will come from the 2016 Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (SPLOST).
