Cobb man sentenced for killing ex-wife, her boyfriend

A 34-year-old Kennesaw man was given two life sentences without parole Friday for killing his former wife and her boyfriend in 2010.

Michael Ntiamoah, a former Marine who worked as an Immigrations and Customs Enforcement agent, emptied multiple clips from his federally-issued firearm during the slayings, the Cobb County District Attorney’s Office said in the news release. He avoided the death penalty originally sought in the case by the state by pleading guilty on Nov. 29, 2012.

Fatoumata Diallo Ntiamoah, 27, and her live-in boyfriend, Mohammed Zaine, 32, were shot at their Kennesaw townhouse after Michael Ntiamoah kicked in the door in the early hours of Dec. 18, 2010, prosecutors said. Michael Ntiamoah chased his ex-wife outside, where she was killed. Authorities said she was shot nine times, while Zaine was shot 15 times.

Cobb police were dispatched to the Bexley Place residence around 4 a.m. after someone called 911.

The crime “was a tactical double execution with motive, malice and premeditation,” Deputy Chief Assistant District Attorney Jesse Evans told Cobb Superior Court Judge C. LaTain Kell.

Michael Ntiamoah was charged with two counts of malice murder, two counts of felony murder, two counts of aggravated assault, two counts of aggravated battery, two counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and one count of burglary.

In addition to life in prison, Ntiamoah also was sentenced to 10 years on firearms charges.
