Cobb County schools to dismiss early Friday

Cobb County schools posted a winter weather alert late Thursday on their Facebook page, stating that all Cobb schools will be dismissing two hours early on Friday.

All Friday evening and Saturday activities — including SAT tests — are also canceled.

According to the Facebook post, this decision follows a state of emergency issued by Gov. Nathan Deal to close state offices at noon.
