Cobb County boy, 14, charged as an adult in alleged rape of girl, 14
A 14-year-old boy in Cobb County is being charged as an adult for allegedly raping a 14-year-old girl in the restroom of a county park, according to police.
Andre David Height, of Austell, allegedly raped the girl at Tramore Park, on the East-West Connector, on April 4, his arrest warrant says. The victim told investigators Height forced her into a bathroom stall at the park.
The girl told a campus police officer about the incident, a nurse practitioner during a forensic exam and a forensic investigator, police said.
“The details she provided were consistent across each statement,” the warrant says.
A younger sister of the victim told police she saw her sister with Height earlier the same day. An arrest warrant was issued Thursday for Height, who was arrested the same day, charged with rape and booked into the Cobb jail. He was being held without bond Monday night, booking records showed.
Despite his age, Height is being a charged as an adult because of the nature of the crime, a spokesman for Cobb police said.
