Due to Tropical Storm Irma, the Cobb County Board of Commissioners postponed the final Fiscal Year 2018 budget hearing and vote to 10 a.m. Sept. 22 instead of Sept. 12.
The commissioners also will vote on the Comp Plan 2040 transmittal to the Atlanta Regional Commission for consideration and then referral later this year to the commissioners for a final vote.
Other meeting changes include 3 p.m. Sept. 19 for the agenda work session after the 9 a.m. Sept. 19 zoning hearings. Another work session will be 1:30 p.m. Sept. 25 when budget presentations from the Finance Department and elected officials will be presented.
The meetings will be in the BOC Room, second floor, 100 Cherokee St., Marietta.
Following the Sept. 22 budget hearing, the commissioners are expected to vote on the $637.8 million budget that will be in effect Oct. 1 through Sept. 30, 2018.
A copy of the budget is available to the public 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Cobb County Superior Courthouse (70 Haynes St., Marietta) and the Finance Office (100 Cherokee St., Suite 430, Marietta).
